Spain में Driving: Indian License से कैसे Drive करें और Exchange Process

अधिकांश international students Spain में car की ज़रूरत नहीं पड़ती — Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia और Seville जैसे cities में public transport excellent और affordable है। लेकिन rural Spain explore करना हो, weekend trips पर जाना हो, या कम bus connections वाले छोटे town में रहना हो तो foreign license के rules जानना important है।

Indian License से Spain में Drive कर सकते हैं?

Short answer: हाँ, लेकिन सीमित समय के लिए।

Non-EU Licenses: 6-Month Rule

Indian driving license एक non-EU license है। इससे Spain में resident बनने के 6 महीने तक drive कर सकते हैं (यानी entry date या empadronamiento date से)।

6 महीने के बाद, Indian license Spain में valid नहीं रहता। तब या तो:

1. Exchange करें (canje) Spanish license के लिए — अगर आपके country का Spain के साथ bilateral agreement हो
2. Spanish driving test दें — अगर agreement नहीं है

Important for Indians: India और Spain के बीच driving license exchange agreement नहीं है। इसका मतलब है Indian license को Spanish license में directly exchange नहीं किया जा सकता। 6 महीने के बाद Spanish driving test देना होगा।

International Driving Permit (IDP)

International Driving Permit (IDP) license का standardized translation है। यह 6-month validity extend नहीं करता। केवल Spanish police के लिए license easier to read बनाता है।

Countries के साथ Exchange Agreements

Exchange agreement नहीं है इनसे: United States, Canada, China, India, Russia, और अधिकांश Africa और Asia।

Spanish Driving Test देना (Indian License Holders के लिए)

Theory Exam (Examen Teorico)

• Format: 30 multiple-choice questions। Pass के लिए 27 correct answers (90%) ज़रूरी।

Driving Schools (Autoescuelas)

Spanish test देने वाले अधिकांश students autoescuela (driving school) में enroll करते हैं। वे provide करते हैं:

• Intercity travel: Renfe (trains), BlaBlaCar (ride-sharing) और FlixBus most routes cover करते हैं।
• Car sharing: Zity, Wible जैसी services Madrid में occasional use के लिए available हैं।
• Cycling: कई cities में expanding bike-sharing systems और dedicated bike lanes हैं।

Car sense बनाती है जब:

Common Mistakes
